We are a dedicated aquatic retail outlet who specialises in aquatics only.
WHEN – When did we start?
Emperor Tropicals originated in 1983 exactly as we are today as a fully rounded aquatic outlet. We have grown of course but we still keep the same philosophy as we did all those years ago.
WHAT – What do we offer you?
Well let's start with fish, we quarantine and sell you only the best quality livestock from around the world. We sell Tropical. Coldwater. Pond and marine fish. We also sell aquatic plants for tropical and coldwater aquariums. We also sell invertebrates for marine aquariums. There is a full range of dry goods for all aspects of the aquatic trade from all the major suppliers. We have a large range of aquariums for sell and as we are completely independent we sell from many manufactures.
We have weekly deliveries of fresh aquatic plants so that you have a fresh choice every week. We also have are own dedicated nursery in which we organically grow all our own pond marginals + water lilies always providing the customer with the highest quality plants.

The philosophy to our shop is that ‘fishkeepers buy from fishkeepers’. Every member of the Emperor Tropicals team keeps at least one fish type, some as you can imagine more….. We not only work within the aquatic trade but also enjoy fishkeeping. We see this as a great advantage over other shops as we can help not only new starters to the hobby but experts succeed in their chosen aspect. We have a combined knowledge of over 100 years of fishkeeping within the shop.
We have worked closely with our suppliers for many years so we can offer our customers not only competitive prices and choice but also an excellent ‘back-up’ service for when things aren’t going exactly as planned.
